How Duke's Den Grooming collects, uses, and protects your personal data.
Adina Chiru is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions about how your data is handled, or wish to exercise any of your rights, please contact us at info@dukesdengrooming.co.uk.
When you book an appointment or contact us, we collect:
We use your data to take and manage bookings, process deposits and payments, send you appointment confirmations and reminders, and keep accurate records of the services we have provided. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
We rely on the following third-party services to operate. Each processes personal data only as needed to provide its service, under its own data-protection terms:
We count how people use this website so we can make booking easier: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and where they stop in the booking steps. We use PostHog, hosted in the EU, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with anyone else.
We do not use cookies for this. While you have the site open, your browser holds a random visit ID in its session storage, so one visit is counted as one visit. It is deleted when you close the tab. If you book, the visit ID is saved with the booking so we can tell which visits led to a booking. It does not identify you on its own, and we never record what you type into forms.
You can turn this off at any time, free of charge. Your choice is saved in this browser.
Financial records (bookings, payments, and receipts) are retained for six years to meet HMRC tax-record requirements. Other personal data is kept only as long as needed to provide our service and is removed on request, subject to those legal retention duties.
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, and to request its erasure. On an erasure request we anonymise your customer record and delete your dog's details, retaining only the financial records the law requires us to keep. To make a request, email info@dukesdengrooming.co.uk, contact us using the details above.
